The GBI Mortuary Benefits Fund was approved by the delegates of the National Conference at Boljoon, Cebu when it was presented by the Conference Floor Leader, Dante Muhammad Shamsuddin "NF OFFROAD" M. Simangan last October 23, 2009, in the presence of the National Triumvirate. The delegates introduced some amendments before it received its final unanimous approval.
Mortuary Benefits had been a long time dream of the GBI members dating back from the maiden founding of the Brotherhood in 1984. This was conceptualized by the original members whose concern was for the Families of the Brotherhood to survive after the demise of the member who is usually also the head of the family.
The Fund is open to all Active GBI Members belonging to an active GBI Chapter with organized GBI Federal Provincial or Chartered City Confederation whose membership is current. The Initial fee upon submission of the duly filled up Application Form of the Mortuary Benefit Fund as endorsed by the Chapter and the Federal Commissioner, is One Hundred Twenty Pesos (P120.00). The Benefit to be received by the beneficiaries in case of death of the member concerned will be ten pesos (P10.00) per member multiplied by the total membership of the Fund. |
